Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VideoSearch (“the Service”), operated by VideoSearch GbR, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VideoSearch provides a multimodal semantic video search platform. Users can upload video content, which is processed into vector embeddings, enabling natural language search across video frames, audio, and on-screen text.

3. Account Registration

You must sign in via Google OAuth to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
  • Use the Service to store or distribute malware
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the Service
  • Exceed your plan's usage limits through automated means
  • Use the Service for surveillance of individuals without their consent

5. Content Ownership

You retain all rights to content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and serve your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Service Tiers and Payment

The Service offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis.

7. Data Processing

Video content is processed using third-party AI services (Google Gemini) for embedding generation. By using the Service, you acknowledge that video data is transmitted to these providers for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
